Dr. Hemangi Mehta
As a professional Women Empowerment Researcher, the main goal of my research is to understand how I can be play critical role in the necessity of empowering women's life. My core area of research covers women empowerment, human nutrition, child development, extension education, human development, self help group of women, malnutrition, food preservation, fancy cookery, etc.
My Research
From Theory to Reality
I am interested in studying the natural systems which shape and guide the processes of the natural world. My long-term goal is to identify and characterize the scientific mechanisms specific to my principal areas of research; Integrated Plant Management, Cover Crop Fixtures, and Regional Crop Response. Read more about these projects below.
Integrated Plant Management
Building upon work done by a former lab colleague, I have developed a powerful tool for use in the identification and characterization of the processes in my model system. A major advantage of this development is its improved sensitivity, which allows it to detect subtle dynamic property changes in response to my experimental setup.
Cover Crop Fixtures
We still have only a very limited understanding of Cover Crop Fixtures. Answering questions about this is essential for understanding the mechanistic role it plays on other scientific processes, and for developing tools to further explore this research avenue with more sensitive measurements and improved data collection.
A Little About Me
I’m a professional Home Science / Women Empowerment - Subject Matter Specialist from the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Junagadh Agricultural University (Morbi), dedicating my life to exploring and researching the processes and scientific mechanisms underlying the world we live in. I have received several certificates and accolades for my research, with projects and publications that you can learn more about below.
